All people would call this a miracle! An elderly woman was rescued from the rubble of buildings in Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital. Though the woman had a full week due to trapped debris that a devastating earthquake rocked the country's poor.
The rescue workers cheered when a woman named Anna Zizi was pulled out of the ruins of the Roman Catholic cathedral building. Even when he was appointed, 69-year-old woman was still time-sempatnya singing.
"It's amazing, nobody could believe she was still alive," says Sarah Wilson of the British humanitarian organization, Christian Aid, as quoted by news agency AFP on Wednesday (20/1/2010).
"But obviously, the rescuers could communicate with him and could provide drinking water to him through the tube. She sings when appointed. All the people clapping and cheering," he said.
Zizi rescued by firefighters from Mexico. Previously, a baby girl was also rescued after six days trapped debris.
So far 75 thousand people were buried pascagempa magnitude 7 on the Richter Scale in Haiti. Haitian government estimates that about 200 thousand people were killed in this disaster possible.
